Shetland County Drama Festival : The Tankard

Islesburgh Drama Group opened this year's Shetland County Drama Festival at the Garrison Theatre with the play "The Tankard" produced and directed by Stanley Manson.

The play, written by Jimmy Wakeham, focuses on three retired schoolteachers who have heard of a "find" by archaeologists digging near the site of the Battle of Bannockburn and who seek to gain access to written documentation by telling a "few" white lies.

The Workshop at Gremista is somewhat full of scenery at the current time preparing for both this play and our next production, On Golden Pond, but the Cast managed a rehearsal with doors and windows, albeit a very cold one!
