Wow!! What a fantastic first night of the panto last night .............. a full house and a wonderfully appreciative audience who were with us right from the opening chorus. This first performance (known as the Corporate Night) is an extra performance we have included to allow block bookings from business, families and non-youth groups. It is also a fundraiser for us towards our workshop/store and we really appreciate everyone's generosity in supporting this night.
Onstage the audience really enjoyed the antics of the Dame and her comedy sidekicks and there were lots of opportunities for the audience to join in and of course the song sheet provided a great opportunity for singing and actions - parents being penalised if they didn't join in!
Backstage ran very smoothly with the huge sets in place ready for the opening of the next scene. Well done everyone!
And upstairs in the dressing rooms we enjoyed a lovely first night cake made by Sinbad himself - he's a pretty good cook!
So we are all really looking forward to another performance tonight - OH YES WE ARE !!!!!
