Puss in Boots : Workshop with the ALICE Theatre Project

We were delighted to be asked by the ALICE Theatre Project to take part in a panto workshop last Saturday at Islesburgh.

A number of members of the cast were able to get decked up in their costumes again and add some make-up in the Drama Room before joining members of the Theatre group in the downstairs Hall.

Stephenie giving us an idea of what to expect before we went down - none of us had any idea of what we would be doing!

First of all we were all introduced and then went on to play a warm up game of numbers - it fairly tied us in knots!

Then it was time for everyone to have a go at being the different characters - walking in the style of Jack (Principal Boy) ........

...... regal walking with the Queen with pretend handbags ........

..... being as laid back as Jethro!

Then we took it in turns to walk the length of the room, but reacting to the individual characters we saw on the way.

Killer Rabbits doing what "killer rabbits" do ...... !

Finally the young members learnt the words and actions to Where did You Get that Cat which we all performed as we had done on the stage.

It was a really fun afternoon and we were all very impressed by the acting and singing
skills of all the members of the Alice Theatre Group.

Thank you so much for asking us!
