What a fabulous workshop we all enjoyed last night in Drama Room with Diane! Just a small group of us, but Diane had us moving and creating some wonderful pieces.
After some initial warm up (and feel good!) exercises, Diane had us creating a "freestyle dance" using the letters of our name. It was initially difficult to think of a body shape to represent a letter, but we all jumped in and very soon we were all creating our own quite graceful dance. Then we had to mirror each other - a lesson in concentration and co-ordination and Martin and Danielle were particularly good at this!
Then it was down to some toe tapping music and a routine based around the Charlesston. The only word to describe this was FABULOUS!
Finally, with just 20 minutes left of the session we did a curtain call to Copacabana - who could not fail to bounce with that music, despite being very tired!

Later this month we say goodbye to Diane as she leaves Shetland for ventures new in Edinburgh. Diane has been our choreographer for a considerable number of years and we have been so very lucky to have had the benefit of her amazing talent. No one can fail to be motivated by her bubbly nature, great teaching methods and fabulous routines.
We will miss you x
