Banish those
winter blues before they get a chance to get hold.
Get yourself to Shetland’s
home of drama, the wonderful Garrison Theatre, Lerwick from the 14th
to 16th November where Islesburgh Drama Group will be proud to
present a hilarious evening of witchcraft, mayhem and furniture polish with two
one act plays.
The first of these, Tony Layton’s “Sharks in the Custard”
directed by Jennie Atkinson is set in a museum where three cleaning ladies,
faced with Government cutbacks which threaten their cosy regime, come up with
an innovative solution to secure their futures and, potentially, change in
their lives.
In Joe Graham’s “The Witches of Prestwick”, directed
by Morag Mouat, three would-be-sorceresses attempt to summon up their vision of
a perfect man, with disastrous results!
Come along and smell the furniture polish, indulge in a little spell
making and be prepared to be amused!
